Why a New Church?
I’ve been asked this question probably hundreds of times over the past year. It is our hope that the people being drawn by God to a Trinity Gathering will understand and see. Something new is happening. A new hope is forming, Because God desires that His people be drawn unto Him, Celebrate Him, Be loved by Him, Made new by Him, All through His love as we love one another.
But again…. Why a new church? – It isn’t so much a new church, as a new way of doing Church, that is more like a church you may read about in the bible. Trinity Gatherings are a way for people to become a part of what God is doing and see the Kingdom of God established in their area. Whether it is an existing church congregation adopting the values and concepts that the Trinity Gathering movement brings, or a small group in an existing church going through a study together and bringing health to their own church, or a house church or group of house churches deciding to join the Trinity Gatherings movement, or an entirely new congregation coming together to establish a new Trinity Gathering; all of these are ways of seeing and being a part of the church that can change the world.
The Trinity Gatherings Movement exists to bring health, life, and Biblical vitality to The Church. We are glad to partner with churches of all kinds that would like to begin to walk in health. While we understand that there are great churches all around the world today, the impact that the church is having on our world is sobering. Even though America has seen hundreds of years of the church being woven into the very fabric of our society, in recent years, the actual impact on the daily lives, the worldview, and the character of individuals has been minimal. In addition, the institutions of our society and culture are moving away from being positive or even neutral toward the things of God to now becoming antagonistic toward faithful, Biblical viewpoints.
Recently, George Barna at the Arizona Christian University Cultural Research Center performed a study tracing the actual impact of the American faith on people’s lives and beliefs. If ever there was a need to evaluate how the church is doing making disciples, it is now. You can read the recent research study on American Christians by Dr. Barna and his team here. It is a our duty to re-evaluate what we have been doing in the church, and re-think what really works and what simply isn’t working.
So – Is the current way we do church having any real impact on our society? Are we actually making Biblical disciples and followers of Jesus? Are these disciples characterized by transformed lives that are transforming lives? The implications of decades of church decay are being felt throughout our society and our culture. Our families, our institutions, our governments, and our leaders are all under attack like never before. It is time to rethink the way that The Church can once again become The Church that God intended.
We need a work of the Holy Spirit not to simply bring power and excitement, but to change lives . We need a return to a community that transforms people so they can go out and change the world. We need to ask – “How do we make disciples that in turn make disciples?”
Join us in this adventure. Your life will never be the same. You can be a part of the change that God is bringing first to The Church, and then through The Church to all the World.

A Crisis of Our Own Making
The long-term effects of not making disciples are beginning to be felt as our educational systems, culture, governments, institutions, and churches increasingly look like the
