Saving faith

The best and worst thing about christianity is that understanding is not required. We all like to lean on our own understanding, taking the limited perspective that we have and making it into a structure / system that we can’t really escape.

Bu the Bible clearly says “Lean NOT on your own understanding” We are told that the way to salvation is trusting Jesus. If you trust Jesus you don’t have to do any of the other things. All of the systems of the world lead to death, and only an active faith in Jesus can give life.

De further demonstrate, You don’t have to:

1. Keep the law
2. Realize you are a sinner
3. Repent
4. Denounce your past
5. Overcome your trauma
6. Pray a special prayer
7. Worship
8. Bargain
9. Be thankful
10. Speak in tongues
11. Go to church
12. Follow a pastor
13. Read your bible
14. Learn theology
15. Learn greek and or Hebrew.

Scripture is very clear on this, trusting Jesus isn’t just enough, it is all we will ever need and the only thing that can save us.

That being said, if we trust Jesus, we will likely do many of the things on this list also, but our salvation will never be and has never been dependent on any of the things listed there.

It’s a miracle of faith, that Jesus is all we have to believe in. To clarify, by believe I mean fully trust that He is who He says He is, and that He has done and will do the things He says He has done and will do.
